Is this the Big 5?

Are these 5 it?  These were some initial ideas, what do our students need in Social Studies to be prepared in the future?  Are we being proactive or reactive as teachers in the age of globalization?  Are we advocating for we see as important to ensure that certain content areas are taught?  Should education be protected from the speed and economic motivations of globalization?
